Liberty Bank continues to support the rehabilitation of children with disabilities

Alex Khoroshvili, Director of Liberty Bank, and Davit Shvelidze, Director of Rehab Children's Rehabilitation Center, signed a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation.

Under the memorandum, Liberty Bank will continue to fund the rehabilitation of socially vulnerable disabled beneficiaries who have not yet been eligible for the state program until the end of 2017.

Rehab Child Rehabilitation Center Ltd. was established in December 2016 and has been involved in the child rehabilitation / habilitation sub-programs of the State Rehabilitation and Child Care State Program of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia since the end of the 1st quarter of 2017.

The center is staffed with highly qualified staff, equipped with appropriate rehabilitation equipment and has an adapted environment for treatment.

"Although the state pays special attention to the rehabilitation / habilitation of children with disabilities, a large number of beneficiaries are still unable to use these services due to insufficient budget funding, which is why their health cannot be improved. That is why we started to provide information to the private sector, especially to organizations actively involved in the implementation of social programs, and I must say that we have acquired a very worthy and charitable partner in the form of Liberty Bank. For now, they have funded 6,600 procedures for 200 beneficiaries and the bank will continue to support their rehabilitation until the end of 2017,”said Davit Shvelidze, Director of the Rehab Children's Rehabilitation Center.

"Within the framework of social responsibility, one of the priorities of Liberty Bank is to support people with disabilities. Most of them are customers of our bank, therefore we have direct contact with their problems. We think it is very important to offer them adapted services, to prepare them for independent living, to promote integration into society, so that each of them can discover and use their potential. To achieve the result, the Bank cooperates with the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and those organizations that have experience in providing specific services "- Alexi Khoroshvili, Director-General of Liberty Bank.
