Information on the grace period

Dear Customers, Due to the current situation in the country, Liberty offers its customers a 3-month grace period from March 13 to June 30.

Detailed information and frequently asked questions on the grace period:

  1. To whom does the grace period apply?
    1. The grace period automatically applies to all individuals (including public benefit recipients) who enjoy unsecured and secured types of loans in Liberty.
    2. Legal entities should contact a servicing credit expert / corporate banker in case of need to use the grace period.
       
  2. What type of loans apply to the grace period?
    1. Consumer Loans
    2. Mortgage Loans
    3. Overdrafts
    4. Credit Cards
    5. Installment
    6. Social Loans (pension, overdraft, social advance, IDP loans)
    7. Entrepreneurial loans issued to individuals
    8. Gold Secured Loans
    9. Car Secured Loans
       
  3. What type of loans do not apply to the grace period?
    1. The grace period does not apply to state-subsidized projects - "Preferential Agro Credit" and "Produce in Georgia"
       
  4. How can I take advantage of the grace period?
    1. Individuals:
      1. The grace period will be automatically activated for all individuals.  If you do not want to take advantage of the grace period, approach us via Internet / Mobile Banking, or contact us by March 25. You can refuse to take advantage of the grace period via following channels:
        1. Remote service center ( 032 2 55 55 00) (from 16th of March)
        2. Internet banking http://my.libertybank.ge/ (from 17th March)
        3. ATMs (from 17th March)
    2. Legal entities:
      1. Legal entities can contact a servicing credit expert / corporate banker incase they need a grace period. All terms of the grace period of the persons are considered individually and agreed upon.  
         
  5. Will the deferral affect the customer's credit history negatively?
    1. Taking advantage of the grace period does not negatively affect your credit history.
       
  6. Does an interest accrue on the loan during the grace period
    1. Loan interest is accrued only on the principal amount, however you will repay this amount according to the extended schedule, so the monthly payment will not increase.
       
  7. After the grace period, does the monthly payable amount increase?
    1. No, the interest accrued during the grace period will be distributed over the extended loan schedule so as not to increase the monthly deposit.
       
  8. How shall I benefit from the grace period if I already have a non-standard, preferential payment schedule?
    1. In case of using a non-standard schedule, either way, grace period of at least 3 months will be activated for you. And, after June 30, you will continue to pay according to your schedule so that the amount of the monthly deposit will not increase.
       
  9.  If the loan is overdue before the activation of the 3-month grace period, will the penalty/fine be accrued or not?
    1. No, Liberty Bank forgives customers for the penalty/fine accrued after March 13.
       
  10. If I use several loans at once, does the grace period apply to them all?
    1. Yes, the grace period applies to all loans at the same time (if you refuse to take advantage of the grace period, with the same principle, the refusal applies to all your loans).
       
  11. How does the grace period work for overdraft?
    1. The interest paid on overdrafts until March 13 will be automatically postponed until June 5. Interest accrued after March 13 will be calculated on June 9. Within 27 days from this date, the customer can pay the minimum deposit provided under the terms of the overdraft.
       
  12. How does the grace period work for credit cards?
    1. We stop accruing fines on credit cards, while the minimum deposit and interest-free conditions remain unchanged. In case of violation of payment terms, the possibility of extraction of the limit will not be terminated for the customer.
       
  13. Will the loan interest rate increase during or after the grace period?
    1. No, the interest rate will not increase.
       
  14. Will I be charged an advance fee if I repay the principal amount of the loan during the grace period?
    1. The customer has the right to reduce the loan principal once a month, not more than the amount of the monthly payment on the loan. In this case he will not be charged the prepayment fee.
       
  15. Does an interest accrue on the accrued interest during the deferred period?
    1. No, the interest will not accrue on interest.
       
  16. If I took advantage of the grace period and changed my mind later, is it possible to terminate the grace period early?
    1. In case of such a request, the customer should contact us on 032 255 55 00 to make a new payment schedule on his / her loan.
