Liberty and the Georgia Red Cross Society to help the elderly

Liberty and the Georgia Red Cross Society to help the elderly

Liberty Bank and the Georgian Red Cross Society have launched a new project. Within the framework of the joint social project, the citizens of Georgia will be able to easily participate in the charity event through a special donation number - 16 222. The food parcels purchased with the mobilized funds will be delivered by lonely elderly people over the age of 70 living across the country. The cost of 1 call to the donation number is 1 GEL.

According to the Georgia Red Cross Society, more than 50,000 elderly lonely people have already benefited from such assistance. The charitable activity started during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic continues to reduce the risks of the pandemic, with the help of which many elderly people are provided with the necessary food and personal hygiene items.

In addition, the Liberty and Georgia Red Cross Society continue to work together to reduce pandemic risks, and Red Cross volunteers throughout Georgia are involved in important work of sorting out queues and maintaining distance, taking into account health recommendations.

"Liberty continues to take the necessary measures to fight the pandemic within the framework of the #Libertygulit (Liberty with heart) social responsibility program and takes care of its elderly customers from the bottom of its heart. Our priority is to minimize their need of visiting the bank and, if necessary, to create a safe environment when visiting the bank. We are pleased that the Georgian Red Cross volunteers support the staff of Liberty and jointly care for the health of older citizens. It is not less important to note that we fully share and support the Red Cross Charitable Initiative, which supports single elderly people and allows any citizen to get involved and, even to a lesser extent, contribute to improving their lives."- Said Director of the Direction of Small and Medium Business of Liberty, Vaja Menabde.
