Please be informed that there is an amendment to Article 186 of the Civil Code of Georgia, according to which a child's movable property worth more than GEL 1,000 may be disposed of by his parent or other legal representative in the best interests of the child, with the consent of the court.
The amendment will take effect from 1 September, 2020.
