Changes are planned in the management of JSC Liberty Bank

Changes are planned in the management of JSC Liberty Bank

Following a joint agreement with the Supervisory Board, Vasil Khodeli will step down as a CEO on May 1, 2022, and be replaced by Beka Gogichaishvili. The Supervisory Board continues to support the Bank and participates actively in the strategic decision-making process.

Murtaz Kikoria, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Liberty Bank, stated:

"On behalf of the Liberty Bank Supervisory Board, I would like to express my gratitude to Vasil Khodeli for his works and contributions to the Bank's development as a leading, universal financial institution.

During Vasil Khodeli's leadership, many significant changes occurred, coinciding with a particularly hard time of the pandemic. From January 2019 until the present, the Bank has completed many of the goals it had set out, including developing the bank's long-term strategy, forming a management team, and diversifying its loan portfolio and operations in general. We have complete faith in Liberty's management team to carry out the established strategy, and we wish success to Vasil Khodeli.

Beka Gogichaishvili has 10 years of experience in financial analysis and investor relations management. Beka joined Hunnewell Partners Georgia as an investment manager in 2017 and has since been actively involved in important decisions of the Liberty Bank. From 2020 he was a member of Liberty Bank's Supervisory Board. I am confident that his professional and personal qualities, as well as his experience working with Liberty's management team, will benefit the bank. I wish Beka and Liberty the best of luck in achieving their future goals.”
