Presenting Liberty CSR Report and Advisory Board

Today, Liberty presented its Corporate Social Responsibility Report and Social Responsibility (CSR) Advisory Board to the public and partner companies.

Liberty introduced the New Liberty for New Life strategy last year, underlining corporate sustainability as one of the most important areas of the strategy.

The main goal of the CSR Advisory Board is to be involved in the strategy implementation process and to implement relevant projects and programs. Such a model is unprecedented in the financial sector of Georgia - the members of the Board are experts in those specific fields, that the bank has chosen as the direction of the long-term CSR strategy.

"For New Liberty, corporate social responsibility is about creating new opportunities for people. Liberty, as a responsible and sustainable business, aims to be beneficial and bring positive change to people.

That is why we choose education as the main direction of social responsibility. In this context, raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and promoting education are areas in which the Liberty-initiated CSR Advisory Board will be actively working.” – Tamar Zakariadze, Head of Liberty Corporate Social Responsibility Direction.

"Liberty is the first company in the financial sector that has set up a CSR Advisory Board. This is the best tool to consider the demands of society in terms of human rights protection. Liberty has correctly defined priorities. Investing in education and taking care of education by business, in general, is a real role model." – Ana Arganashvili, CEO of the “Partnership for Human Rights”.

"Each investment put in education plays an important role in the development of the country, and I think New Liberty can support important projects in terms of strengthening education. Work has already begun in this direction and I hope, as a member of the CSR Board, along with the Liberty team, I will contribute to several important and useful projects." – Magda Maghradze, CEO of the Millennium Foundation.

The Liberty CSR Advisory Board consists of:
