BasisBank has successfully completed the acquisition of 95.99% of Liberty Bank's shares following the receipt of relevant regulatory approvals. The remaining 4.01% of shares are held by minority shareholders/individuals.

 

Will my account or card change?


No. Customers' accounts, cards, and banking products remain unchanged.

 

Are my finances/deposits safe?


Yes, your deposits/finances are protected. Liberty Bank operates in accordance with the safety and financial stability requirements established by the National Bank of Georgia, which ensures the stability of the banking system.

 

Will the terms of service change?


No, the terms of service for customers remain unchanged at this stage.

 

Will service branches change?


No, Liberty service centers and branches continue to operate as usual.

 

What does this transaction mean for customers?


This transaction brings together two strong financial institutions and promotes a healthy and competitive banking environment, which will ultimately create a wider range of financial choices and opportunities for customers.

 

Will the bank's name or brand change?


No. At this stage, Liberty Bank continues to operate under its own brand. Customers will be informed in advance of any possible changes.

 

Will I still be able to use my Mobile Bank and Internet Bank as usual?


Yes. Mobile Bank, Internet Bank, and other digital services are working as usual.

 

Do I need to visit the bank to formalize any changes?


No, there is no need for customers to visit the bank or take any additional action.

 

Will the terms of my loan or deposit change?


No, the terms of your existing loan/deposit will not change. The terms of already signed agreements remain unchanged.

 

Will the terms of pension and social services change? Will I receive my pension or social benefit at BasisBank?


No, you will continue to use social products and services only through Liberty Bank's physical and remote channels, as the agreement for the distribution of pension and social benefits is concluded between the Social Agency and Liberty Bank.

Will Liberty's management change?


To ensure business continuity and the coordinated management of the two financial institutions, David Tsaava, General Director of BasisBank, will also take the position of General Director of Liberty Bank. No other changes are planned at this stage.
