The second phase of the Liberty and New Hospitals social program begins

The joint program of Liberty and New Hospitals is becoming even more large-scale, and from now on, Liberty Social Card holders will be able to enjoy the conditions specially designed for them throughout the country.

From the cooperation started in 2018 until today, within the framework of the social responsibility program, 11,250 Liberty Social Card holders in Tbilisi alone have benefited. After free screening for cataracts and glaucoma at up to 90 Liberty branches, an additional free examination was conducted to 3157 patients at New Hospitals. Ophthalmic surgeries and various studies in cardiology, traumatology and stroke prevention have been successfully performed.

From May 14, social card holders living in the region will be able to undergo eye, heart disease, internal organs and joints, as well as other examinations at New Hospitals for free or at a great discount.

"Within the framework of the social responsibility program, the projects successfully implemented in Tbilisi have made us to decide to expand and make a specially developed unprecedented program on a larger scale. From today, people living all over the country, including the most inaccessible areas, will be able to receive medical services. In partnership with New Hospitals, we have been able to care for both retirees and other social card holders. They need constant care '' - said the Deputy Director-General of Liberty, Levan Tkhelidze.

"New Hospitals is ready to launch an updated, larger-scale social responsibility project. The National Center of Ophthalmology, with 127 years of experience, will conduct ophthalmic disease screening in the most inaccessible places throughout Georgia for those for whom these medical services were previously unavailable." - Said Giorgi Ramishvili, director of New Hospitals.
