Liberty joins the "Agricultural Landowners Stimulation" program

 

20.05.20, Tbilisi - From today, more than 200,000 farmers will receive the Liberty "Agro Card" under the state program to stimulate agricultural landowners and will benefit from the new program throughout the country.

From May 20, for the beneficiaries with an active Liberty Bank account accruing the points provided by the "Agricultural Landowners Stimulation" program and the process of making and distributing "agro cards" by Liberty will gradually start.

The subsidy provided by the program with a budget of 37 million will be given to all individuals and legal entities who own or co-own agricultural land registered in the Public Registry, from 0.25 ha to 10 ha, inclusive.

According to the program, farmers will receive the corresponding points of the subsidy amount (1 point = 1 GEL) on Liberty Bank "Agro Cards" for 0.25 hectares - 50 points, for 1 hectare - 200 points, for 10 hectares - 2,000 points.

To get the card, the farmer must apply to Liberty Bank. Information on the amount of the subsidy and the date of receipt of the card is available on the website: myliberty.ge. Relevant points of the accrued subsidy can be spent by paying on the post-terminal with the "Agro Card" in licensed specialized shops of agricultural goods and in the Company of Agricultural Logistics and Services Ltd. Unregistered land owners have time until December 31, 2020, to carry out the initial registration of the land, after which they will be able to participate in the program.

The implementation of the program will start on May 20, 2020. Individuals who own land plots will be credited with points to their "Agro Cards" in stages from June 1, and accrued points will be available until May 20, 2021.
