Liberty became a signatory to the principles of the UN Global Compact

 

Liberty became a member of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia and from today, in its activities, it will consider the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

"Promoting education, creating an inclusive business environment in Georgia and economic empowerment of women are important directions of New corporate sustainability strategy of Liberty. We are glad to join the UN Global Compact Georgia Network. This cooperation is fully in line with the goals of Liberty - to be a responsible business, to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and to help improve people's lives." - Tamar Zakariadze, Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of Liberty.

The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, bringing together more than 20,000 participants from 161 countries. The vision of the organization is to create a sustainable and inclusive global economy for people, society, and markets. The Global Compact Georgian Network was established in 2016 and includes about 140 members. The mission of the network is to support the implementation of the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in Georgia and to contribute to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
